Responsibilities or duties
Finance Business Partner – East Africa
Act as the Finance Business Partner to the East Africa leadership team, supporting commercial strategy, financial planning, and performance steering.
Provide forward-looking insights on business performance, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives.
Financial Performance Management
Lead financial planning and forecasting processes including sales, margins, cost, and resource planning.
Monitor financial performance and provide analysis on key drivers including volume, price, currency, and channel performance.
Strategic Business Insight
Act as a sparring partner to the business, providing financial insights, benchmarking, and scenario analysis to support decision making
Identify financial risks and opportunities and support mitigation actions when required.
SSA Credit Governance
Lead the development and implementation of consistent credit management frameworks across SSA.
Partner with the Finance Business Partners of Southern and West-Central Africa to ensure disciplined receivables management and credit risk governance across markets.
Support sustainable distributor credit structures aligned with the growth ambitions of the Seeds and Crop Protection businesses.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business (MBA, CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred).
- Proven experience in finance partnering roles within product-based, working-capital-intensive businesses.
- Demonstrated experience managing receivables or credit governance in high-growth environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial insights into business decisions.
- High integrity and ability to operate effectively in fast-scaling and ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g SAP, Excel); experience with credit management tools an advantage.
- Fluency in English.
