Responsibilities
The Finance Intern will support the finance department in various tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with data entry and record-keeping for financial transactions.
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Helping with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Participating in financial analysis and reconciliation tasks.
- Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Collaborating with other departments on financial matters.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the finance team.
Requirements
- Change Management: Leading and managing the process changes, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
- Collaboration: Working effectively with the teams, cross-divisional teams, and external partners to achieve common goals.
- Decision Making: Analyzing the data to make informed, timely and effective decisions for optimal financial results.
- Digitally Adept: Proficient in using data analytics tools, digital platforms and technologies for productive management and reporting.
- Effective Communication: Conveying insights and implications clearly and concisely to the team and stakeholders.
- Flexible Mindset: Stay resilient in the face of challenges and opportunities, e.g., new regulations, market conditions, organizational changes.
- People Management: Build and maintain a motivated, high-performing finance team that consistently contributes to the overall success.
Basic understanding of key finance processes, including:
- Controlling & Financial Planning: Budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking
- RTR (Record to Report): Financial close and reporting processes
- PTP (Accounts Payable): Invoice-to-payment process
- OTC (Collections): Accounts receivable and collections
- Cash Flow Management: Monitoring liquidity and working capital
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Well versed in Microsoft Teams
- Interest in finance operations, controlling, and business partnering
