About The Role

CloudFactory is looking for a Finance Manager who thrives on making the complex simple. This is a hands-on leadership role leading the finance function in the CloudFactory Kenya office. You will own the monthly close for Kenya, working closely with the international team, lead tax and statutory reporting, including audit, and support the Kenya country manager — all while pushing the function forward with finance function automation, AI-enabled workflows, and smarter use of NetSuite.

This is not a role for someone who just wants to close the books. We want someone who connects the dots across entities and business lines — someone who sees a reconciliation break and asks why, not just where.

You will report to the Financial Controller and work closely with the Country Manager in a growing company with a strong presence in Nairobi.

What You Will Own

Financial Close & Periodic Reporting

  • Lead the Kenya Accounting department at CloudFactory with day-to-day accounting, along with periodic closing, reconciliation, and statutory filing to deliver timely and accurate financial reports
  • Full ownership of the Kenya P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis, along with delivering timely, precise management reports to the country manager and Kenya leadership team

Taxation and Statutory Reporting

  • Full ownership of tax strategy in Kenya, including transfer pricing study, VAT filings, WHT filing, and KRA communication liaising with external tax advisors
  • Full ownership of annual statutory audit, liaising with Kenya auditors and group auditors, and serving as the primary point of contact for CloudFactory Kenya

Payroll & Treasury

  • Coordinate payroll, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support cash forecasting, manage banking relationships, and ensure liquidity visibility across offices

Procedure and Control

  • Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in coordination with the Talent, Operations, and other departments

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor a Kenya Finance team
  • Set clear priorities and build an accountable finance function
  • Develop team members through structured goal-setting, feedback, and professional development

Requirements

Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills; familiarity with prompt-writing a plus

Core Experience And Mindset

  • Demonstrated experience managing the full accounting cycle, financial year-end closing, and compliance related to KRA
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop accounting teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior experience in ERP
  • Critical and analytical thinker: you solve problems, challenge assumptions, connect patterns across data sets, and bring structure to ambiguity

Benefits

  • Great Mission and Culture
  • Meaningful Work
  • Market competitive salary
  • Quarterly variable compensation
  • Comprehensive medical cover
  • Group life insurance
  • Personal development and growth opportunities
  • Office snacks and lunch
