Our client, Kenya Medical Association Sacco Ltd is a regulated Non-WDT Sacco and the single largest financial service provider for doctors by doctors in Kenya. It is designed by doctors who understand the dynamics of the medical profession and the enormous demands of a doctor's time. The Society is looking to recruit an experienced and highly qualified individual with excellent credentials, proven experience and demonstrated capacity to fill the vacant position of Finance Manager.

The successful candidate shall be engaged on a four (4) year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing the Sacco's financial health, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, and leading the finance team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• CPA/CFA/ACCA certification
• Membership to a professional body and in good standing
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 4 years in senior management.
• Must have worked in a DT Sacco

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Sacco operations and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
