Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring effective financial management of Mediacrest Training College. The role oversees budgeting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, cash flow management, statutory compliance and financial reporting.
The Finance Manager advises the leadership team on financial strategy, supports sustainable institutional growth, strengthens internal controls and financial systems and ensures efficient management of the college's financial resources to achieve its mission and long-term objectives.
Qualifications & Competencies Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field CPA(K) or ACCA qualifications
- At least 7 years of proven progressive experience in finance and accounting, with minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
- Experience in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and financial modelling
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial systems, policies and internal controls
- Proven experience in managing financial teams
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws, statutory compliance, payroll management and financial reporting requirements
- Experience in managing receivables, payables, cash flow and financial controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics
- Providing strategic financial leadership
