Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the company's financial operations, including accounting, taxation, payroll administration, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have 6–7 years of progressive experience in accounting, taxation, or finance-related roles, with strong knowledge of statutory compliance and payroll management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and policies.
  • Provide management with accurate financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure timely preparation of management accounts and reports.

Tax Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and within deadlines.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors during audits and inspections.
  • Advise management on tax planning opportunities and risks.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Maintain proper accounting records in compliance with IFRS and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate external and internal audits.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Ensure accurate computation of salaries, statutory deductions, benefits, and allowances.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor and tax laws.
  • Address payroll-related queries and discrepancies.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

  • Develop and monitor internal control systems.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 6–7 years' experience in accounting, taxation, or finance-related roles.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
  • Strong experience in tax compliance, accounting, payroll management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
