finance officer manages an organization's financial records and transactions, prepares financial reports, and ensures compliance with financial regulations and policies. Their duties include processing payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and audits. 

Record keeping and transaction processing: Monitoring and recording daily transactions, managing invoices, and handling accounts payable and receivable. Reporting: Creating and reviewing financial reports, balance sheets, and bank reconciliation statements. Budgeting: Assisting with budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and organizational and donor regulations. Auditing: Participating in both internal and external audits and preparing necessary documentation. Cash management: Overseeing daily bank and cash transactions, managing petty cash, and ensuring proper cash balances. Support and capacity building: Providing financial guidance to other staff and helping to build the capacity of teams in financial management.
Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential, along with excellent proficiency in spreadsheet and financial software. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is often required.
Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
