Role Overview

Maestro Homes is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance & Accounts Officer to manage our financial operations. In the real estate industry, financial precision is everything; from tracking property transactions to calculating complex agent commissions. In this role, you will oversee daily bookkeeping, manage accounts payable or receivable, process payroll and agent commissions, and provide management with clear financial reports to drive strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements) for executive review.
  • Assist management in developing annual operating budgets and monitoring cash flow to ensure optimal financial health for the firm.
  • Organize financial documentation for end-of-year tax filing. Ensure compliance with local real estate financial regulations, withholding taxes, and corporate financial laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable (vendor invoices, utility payments), and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and participate in financial reviews with the senior management.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA-2 (An added advantage)
  • A minimum of 2yrs of relevant accounting or finance experience. Experience working within a real estate firm, property management firm, or construction company is an added advantage
  • Strong expertise in accounting software i.e Quickbooks or Zoho
  • Exceptional mathematical accuracy and an analytical mindset capable of spotting discrepancies quickly
  • Absolute discretion and trustworthiness when handling sensitive financial data and executive payroll
