Responsibilities or duties

Process accounting transactions based on supporting documentation received through established workflow

Ensure timely and accurate booking of financial documents

Ensure required supporting documentation is availabe for processing acitivities

Liaise with finance colleagues across Country Offices to resolve processing issues and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items

Perform account reconcilliation activities

Maintain proper electronic filling and documentation of accounting records

Work effectively within a changing operational environment, intergrating new processes and responsibilities as additional operational activities are progressively intergarated into the Hub

Support compliance with internal controls, procedures and audit requirements

Contributte to the smooth functioning of the Hub by workng collaboratively and identifying opportunities for improvement

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

A holder of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

CPA (K) Finalist with at least 3 years of progressive professional experience.

Experience in an international NGO and understanding of international donor regulations is preferred.

Audit experience is an added advantage.

Strong accounting skills, including management of general ledgers, journal entries, payables and balance sheets.

Advanced computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
