Finance and Administration Officer – Nairobi
This pivotal role combines strategic oversight and hands-on execution in financial management, regulatory compliance, and office administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, experience in building operational systems from the ground up, and a keen understanding of working in a fast-paced, investment-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities;
- Set up and manage all financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
- Establish and implement administrative policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and office infrastructure.
- Ensure the smooth running of daily operations including IT, facilities, and office services.
- Maintain company records and coordinate regulatory filings and licenses.
- Support HR processes such as onboarding, policy compliance, and employee welfare administration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly desirable.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and administration, ideally within the financial services or investment industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
