Responsibilities or duties

This full-time, on-site Financial Advisor role is based in Machakos. The Financial Advisor will meet with clients to understand their needs, analyze their financial situations, and recommend suitable insurance and investment products. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and presenting financial plans, following up on leads, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring ongoing service and support. The role involves educating clients on risk management, savings, retirement planning, and wealth creation, while keeping accurate records and complying with all regulatory and company guidelines. The Financial Advisor will collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets, contribute to local market outreach, and uphold ICEA LION Group’s standards of integrity and customer care.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Strong skills in financial advisory, including client needs assessment, product recommendation, and basic financial planning.
  • Competence in sales, negotiation, and relationship management to build and maintain a growing client portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and prepare client reports.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus, aligned with ICEA LION Group’s values.
  • Ability to work on-site in Machakos, manage time effectively, and meet performance targets under minimal supervision.
  • Relevant academic background in finance, business, economics, or a related field; professional certifications in insurance or financial services are an added advantage.

  • Previous experience in financial services, insurance, or banking is preferred but not strictly required for highly motivated candidates with strong potential.
