Role Overview
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in shaping the financial health of the business by leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making. This role goes beyond traditional finance management you will be required to partner closely with leadership to implement financial strategies that drive sustainable growth, expansion, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategy
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support business growth and expansion initiatives.
Support senior leadership in developing and implementing strategic financial decisions, including new branch openings, product line expansion, and capital investments.
Conduct profitability, cost, and margin analysis to inform strategic direction.
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and the board.
Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
Risk Management & Controls
Strengthen internal controls and financial processes to enhance accuracy, accountability, and operational efficiency.
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect company assets.
Manage external audits and maintain relationships with financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
Business Partnering & Leadership
Work closely with operations, procurement, sales, and branch managers to provide financial insights that improve performance.
Present financial insights and recommendations that support evidence-based decision-making.
Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure optimal performance and professional development.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in FMCG, retail, construction materials, or a similar fast-moving environment is preferred.
Strong financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
