Background

Makueni County Public Service Board wishes to recruit a competent and qualified person to fill the following vacant position as per Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya 2000 and Section 59 of the County Governments’ Act 2012.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire and emergency calls to prevent and/or minimize loss of life, property, or injury .
• Safely and efficiently drive the fire engine to the scene of fire in response to an emergency .
• Operate the fire engine pumps and other fire/rescue apparatus safely and efficiently .
• Make routine daily checks and inspection of the fire engine to ensure it is in sound mechanical condition .
• Ensure general routine maintenance of the fire engine and equipment in line with the manufacturer's specifications .
• Perform all functions of a fire fighter .
