Description

Key Performance Areas

  • Fitting and assembling mechanical components, parts, and machinery according to specifications and technical drawings.
  • Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting and identifying faulty parts.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving mechanical issues and malfunctions.
  • Using hand and power tools to shape and modify metal parts, involving cutting, grinding, and welding.
  • Using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of parts.
  • Following safety procedures and regulations when working with machinery and tools.
  • Working with engineers, technicians, and tradespeople to ensure efficient operations.
  • Keeping records of maintenance, repairs, and other relevant information.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum academic qualification: Trade Test Grade 3 from a NITA accredited instituion.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the steel or manufacturing industry will be an added advantage
