Role Overview & Scope

The Food Production Trainee will work alongside kitchen chefs to support food prep, station maintenance, recipe execution, and strict adherence to food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and measure raw ingredients in preparation for meal production.
• Culinary Assistance: Assist senior chefs with cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes across main kitchen stations.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Clean kitchen work surfaces, equipment, utensils, and storage spaces in line with HACCP and health standards.
• Stock & Storage Care: Assist with proper food storage, labeling, rotation (FIFO), and minimizing food wastage.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or Food & Beverage Management.
• Core Competencies: Passion for culinary arts, knowledge of basic knife skills, understanding of food safety principles, and willingness to learn commercial kitchen workflows.
