Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Food Safety Interns to support food safety, hygiene, quality control, and compliance activities. The successful candidates will gain practical experience in maintaining food safety standards and supporting daily quality assurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct routine checks on food handling, storage, preparation, and cleanliness.
  • Assist with temperature monitoring and recording.
  • Support inspection of food storage areas and equipment.
  • Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Assist in maintaining food safety records and documentation.
  • Support internal food safety and hygiene inspections.
  • Report food safety concerns, non-conformities, or potential hazards to the supervisor.
  • Assist with monitoring expiry dates and proper stock rotation.
  • Support implementation of HACCP and other food safety procedures.
  • Assist in staff hygiene and food safety awareness activities.
  • Participate in corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Perform any other duties related to food safety and quality assurance as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Nutrition, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or student seeking practical experience.
  • Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and quality control.
  • Good observation and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a food-service/retail environment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures.
  • Candidates with basic knowledge of food safety regulations will have an added advantage.
