Inventory management: Monitoring and controlling food and beverage inventory levels through regular stocktaking and audits. Cost analysis: Analyzing food and beverage costs to identify areas for cost reduction, including monitoring purchasing, waste, and staff meals. Purchasing and vendor relations: Negotiating prices with suppliers and ensuring accurate pricing for menu items. Financial reporting: Preparing detailed financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management. Budgeting and forecasting: Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasting expenses for the department. Compliance and auditing: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, such as verifying requisitions for material issuance.

Strong analytical and numerical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent attention to detail are crucial.

A degree in accounting, finance, or hospitality management is required. Familiarity with financial accounting software and spreadsheet/database programs is necessary.
