Background
We are seeking a Football Academy Lead Coach to oversee U9–U15 boys and U9-U15 girls. The coach will build and lead a performance-driven programme, combining technical mastery, tactical understanding, strength & conditioning, and evidence-based athlete monitoring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a structured football curriculum with age-appropriate skill benchmarks.
- Lead weekly training sessions, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Monitor athlete performance with analytics, video review, and termly progression reports.
- Prepare teams for regional tournaments, inter-school leagues, and national competitions.
- Maintain a professional academy culture emphasising discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship.
- Coordinate with tutors to ensure academic targets are met, even during competition periods.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, and sports scientists for holistic athlete support.
- Ensure safeguarding, injury prevention, and compliance standards are consistently met.
SUCCESS INDICATORS (KPI’S)
- Measurable skill improvement per term.
- 90% of athletes meet academic performance targets.
- Participation in ≥3 regional or national competitions per year.
- Ensure high retention rates while attracting more students in Year 1.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- CAF “B” License (minimum) – higher preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ academy coaching experience in structured youth football programmes.
- Proven experience developing athletes for competitive pathways.
- Leadership, communication, and organisational excellence.
- Flexible for early morning, evening, and weekend sessions
