ABOUT THE ROLE
The Forklift Driver will operate forklift equipment to load, offload, stack, and move pharmaceutical goods and materials within the warehouse and logistics areas safely, accurately, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate forklift trucks safely to load, offload, and stack pharmaceutical goods
- Move stock within the warehouse, loading bays, and storage areas as directed
- Conduct pre-operation checks and daily inspections of forklift equipment
- Ensure all loads are properly secured, balanced, and handled with care
- Work closely with the Store, Logistics, and Dispatch teams on stock movement
- Maintain accurate records of goods moved, loaded, and offloaded
- Report mechanical faults, equipment damage, or safety hazards immediately
- Comply with all warehouse health, safety, and PPE requirements at all times
- Assist with inventory counts and stock verification as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum KCSE / Form 4 certificate
- Valid Forklift Operator Licence / Certificate from a recognised institution
- Minimum 2 years' proven experience operating counterbalance or reach forklifts
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, load capacities, and handling procedures
- Valid driving licence is an added advantage
- Physically fit, alert, responsible, and safety-conscious at all times
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, logistics, or FMCG warehouse preferred
