Duties        

  • Host a cosmopolitan selection of clients in any of the camps as required
  • Host a selection of agent educational trips (both overnight stays as well as site inspections)
  • Oversee guest excursions in conjunction with their guides, organising and setting up sundowners, bush meals, walking, etc.
  • Ensure that tents and décor are well set and schedule their maintenance and replacement.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise all staff to uphold and exceed service standards,
  • General safety and protection of all guests, staff, company property and company equipment
  • Direct, coordinate and oversee the daily front-of-house operations of the camps and staff.
  • Overseeing all food and beverage functions and developing and planning creative
  • Reservation liaison and reporting in conjunction with the reservations/ground handling office
  • Operating and using the online reservation system (ResRequest) to check the status of bookings and compile reservation reports.
  • Collecting information and images for use in Blogs and social media.
  • Writing guest reports after clients have departed for future reference.
  • Maintain all records and provide a monthly management report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar set up
  • Reliable under pressure, able to multitask, make sound decisions, and adapt quickly to challenges.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Maasai Mara region, including cultural sensitivity and local operations.
  • Pay attention to detail and be customer-focused.
  • Possesses good people, social and management skills and can lead a strong, diverse workforce.
  • Ability to write reports and perform general administrative duties.
