About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate Frontend Developer to help build and enhance SheCodeAfrica’s digital platforms. This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to empowering women and girls in tech and want to contribute by volunteering. You’ll work on creating engaging, user-friendly interfaces that ensure a seamless experience for our community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive web applications.
  • Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement UI/UX designs.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Debug and troubleshoot frontend issues on the SCA Summit Website.
  • Manage Frontend related support on SCA Summit website.
  • Opportunity to mentor or facilitate SheCodeAfrica programs (optional but encouraged).

Requirements

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Attention to detail and passion for creating great user experiences.
  • Must be passionate about supporting the growth of women and girls in tech and committed to giving back through volunteering.
