Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Fundraising & Sponsorship Sales Officer to mobilize revenue for high-level conferences and events. The role focuses on selling sponsorship packages, exhibition spaces, and strategic partnerships to corporates, DFIs, NGOs, and government-linked institutions. This is a 2-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sponsorship sales and exhibition space uptake for events
  • Identify, prospect, and close B2B partnerships and sponsors
  • Develop tailored sponsorship proposals and pitch decks
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation → negotiation → closure
  • Build relationships with corporates, banks, telcos, DFIs, and development partners
  • Track pipeline, revenue targets, and conversion rates
  • Coordinate with event and marketing teams to align sponsor deliverables

Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales, fundraising, or B2B business development
  • Proven experience in event sponsorship sales or fundraising
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience engaging senior executives and decision-makers
  • Ability to meet aggressive revenue targets

Preferred

  • Background in conferences, expos, or large-scale events
  • Existing network across corporates, NGOs, or the development sector
