Role Context

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our team. This role is crucial for securing the financial resources needed to support our conservation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
  • Organize fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Communicate with donors to provide updates on project progress and impact.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, Business Administration).
  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proposal writing and grant management skills.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for wildlife conservation is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Kenya. Occasional travel may be required.
