JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a skilled General Accountant with a strong background in audit firm experience to join our finance team. This role includes managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights that help in decision-making. The ideal candidate must be proficient in accounting principles, financial reporting, excellent analytical skills and regulatory compliance.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree of commerce - Finance/Accounting.
Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a busy accounting environment.
- Desirable: Experience in a FMCG setting.
- Experience in handling tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, Withholding tax and Corporate tax)
- Exposure to inventory and cost accounting
- Solid understanding of financial reporting.
Technical skills
- Proficiency in ERP/ accounting softwares.
- Hands on experience with accounts payable and receivable.
- Ability to analyze financial reports.
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.
