Role Summary

WEL is seeking passionate leaders from civil society, academia, or development sectors to guide the strategic alignment, design, and impact optimization of our core community programs.

Core Areas of Expertise Required

Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment

  •  Experience designing or implementing gender-responsive programs, economic empowerment initiatives, and policy advocacy.

Youth Programming Design

  • Expertise in youth development, leadership training, financial inclusion, employability, or civic engagement frameworks.

Inclusive Governance

  • A strong commitment to ethical leadership, diversity, and advancing the rights of women, girls, and persons with disabilities.

Expected Commitment

  • Attend quarterly board meetings to shape WEL's strategic vision and mission.
  • Participate in program oversight, strategic evaluation, and high-level advocacy.
  • Actively engage in board sub-committees dedicated to community impact.
