Job Context
This role is for a General Cashier position at an Ultra Luxury Beachfront Hotel in Mombasa. The hotel is committed to providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
The General Cashier will be responsible for handling all cash transactions accurately and efficiently. This includes processing payments from guests, managing the cash drawer, preparing daily reports, and ensuring compliance with all hotel policies and procedures related to cash handling. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and integrity.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and experience with cash handling. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference given to those with additional certifications in accounting or finance.
Experience
Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in the hospitality industry, is highly desirable. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is expected.
