The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for establishing, operationalizing, and growing True Gas Limited, a newly formed company whose core business is the sale and distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for vehicles, machinery, and equipment originally powered by gasoline and diesel.
The role requires strategic leadership, strong operational oversight, regulatory compliance expertise, and commercial acumen to ensure that True Gas Limited is established with robust infrastructure, full statutory compliance, competitive pricing, and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities or duties,
KRA 1: Starting the True Gas Company
Focuses on establishing the company’s foundation through strategic planning, infrastructure setup, regulatory compliance, and organizational build‑out.
Key duties include:
- Setting up the company structure, strategy, governance, and launch roadmap.
- Overseeing design, construction, installation, and commissioning of LPG infrastructure.
- Creating SOPs and ensuring full compliance with regulatory, licensing, environmental, and HSSE requirements.
- Recruiting initial teams and establishing performance systems and a strong foundational culture.
KRA 2: Running the True Gas Company
Covers the day‑to‑day operational, financial, compliance, and people management responsibilities required to run a safe, efficient, and profitable LPG business.
Key duties include:
- Managing daily operational efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while enforcing SOPs.
- Ensuring continuous regulatory and safety compliance, including HSSE leadership and license renewals.
- Managing budgets, forecasts, procurement, supply continuity, and financial targets.
- Leading, developing, and optimizing team performance while sustaining a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
KRA 3: Growing the True Gas Company
Focuses on market expansion, commercial growth, brand building, and strategic positioning to scale the business.
Key duties include:
- Developing business opportunities across all fuel segments and managing key client relationships.
- Driving marketing, branding, and customer engagement to expand market presence.
- Implementing competitive pricing strategies and executing the growth roadmap to increase revenue and market share.
- Leading innovation, strategic expansion initiatives, and future business diversification.
- Identify, develop, and mentor a Second-in-Command (2iC) to ensure operational continuity and leadership succession.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Energy Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience needed,

- Minimum 8 years’ experience in LPG, petroleum, energy, or fuel distribution industries.
- Proven experience in setting up or managing energy/fuel-based operations.
- Strong background in regulatory compliance, operations management, and infrastructure development.
