Chemicaland seeks an exceptional General Manager with deep experience in turnarounds, operational excellence, cashflow management, and strategic leadership to transform the business into a high-performance, growth-driven enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead Chemicaland’s strategic growth, operations, and transformation agenda.
- Manage full P&L, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strengthen systems across production, sales, marketing, QC, finance & HR.
- Build a high-performing, self-driven company culture with strong accountability.
- Lead expansion into new regions, distributors, and product lines.
- Ensure quality, occupational health & all regulatory compliance.
- Lead cross-functional teams and oversee all departmental heads.
Qualifications
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, or related field.
- MBA or Master’s in Strategy/Leadership highly preferred.
- Professional certifications in leadership, strategy, or finance are an added advantage.
Experience
- 10+ years senior leadership experience, at least 5 years in manufacturing, agri-inputs, FMCG, or chemicals.
- Proven turnaround, restructuring, or rapid-growth achievements.
- Strong experience managing budgets for SMEs.
- Demonstrated success in building high-performance teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Cashflow forecasting & working capital management.
- Strategic planning and execution.
- Leadership, people management & culture-building.
- Strong understanding of sales, marketing & operational systems.
- Negotiation and crisis management skills.
Personal Profile
- Age: 35 – 50 years.
- High integrity, disciplined, analytical thinker, firm but fair.
- Highly self-driven and innovative.
