Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented General Monitoring Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and evaluating the effectiveness of our microfinance programs and operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

Key Responsibilities

The General Monitoring Officer will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of microfinance activities, including loan disbursement, repayment, and client impact.
• Collect and analyze data related to program performance, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on monitoring findings, providing recommendations for improvement to management.
• Ensure adherence to Oya Microcredit Limited's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather information and facilitate monitoring activities.
• Provide feedback to program staff on performance and areas for development.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the microfinance or financial services sector.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation is required.
