Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and surgical ophthalmic care
  • Independently perform cataract surgery (MSICS/SICS)
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, surgical quality, and documentation
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, CME, and quality improvement activities
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient care

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBChB and MMed (Ophthalmology) or equivalent
  • Registered and licensed by KMPDC
  • Demonstrated competence in MSICS/SICS
  • Ability to independently manage ophthalmic clinics and surgical lists
  • Strong clinical judgement, professionalism, and communication skills

Desirable

  • COECSA Fellowship or equivalent
  • Phacoemulsification experience
  • Interest in teaching, mentorship, and training
