JOB DETAILS:

Kenyatta University, is a multi-campus public university in Kenya. As of October 2014, it was one of twenty three public universities in the country

Responsibilities or duties

Teaches medical students, supervises surgical research, provides consultant clinical care at teaching hospitals, and contributes to curriculum development.

Qualifications or requirements 

• An earned PhD Degree or its equivalent in Medicine or Public Health from an accredited and recognized University.
• Master’s Degree or its equivalent with specialization in Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery or Paediatrics from an accredited and recognized University
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience at University level as Lecturer or research/industry experience.
• A minimum of four (4) cumulative publication articles, of which three (3) are from articles in refereed scholarly journals after being appointed Lecturer
• Successful supervision of at least three (3) postgraduate students as Lecturer.
• Registration by the KMPDC and a valid practicing license.

Experience needed

At least three (3) years of teaching experience at University level as Lecturer or research/industry experience.

A competitive remuneration package, which includes basic salary, house allowance, and medical cover as per the University Scheme, will be provided.

Tutorial Fellows are employed on a one (1) year renewable contract up to a maximum of three (3) years.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
