We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist/Geophysicist with extensive hands-on experience in electrical resistivity surveys using the SuperSting R8 Terrameter. The successful candidate will lead and deliver technical training, workshops, and field demonstrations, ensuring participants master both the theoretical and practical aspects of subsurface investigations. You will play a key role in developing up-to-date training content, facilitating knowledge transfer, and maintaining best practices in geophysical survey methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Deliver Training: Develop and conduct practical interactive training sessions and workshops on geophysical survey techniques, focusing on electrical resistivity using the SuperSting R8 Terrameter.
- Field Demonstrations: Lead practical field exercises, including equipment setup, data acquisition, and troubleshooting, to ensure participants gain real-world experience.
- Data Processing and Interpretation: Guide participants through data processing, inversion, and interpretation using industry-standard software and case studies.
- Training Materials Development: Create comprehensive manuals, presentations, and practical guides tailored to diverse geological applications.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all training aligns with international geophysical standards and safety protocols.
- Workshop Facilitation: Deliver both in-person and online training sessions, fostering participant engagement and technical mastery.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback and update training content to reflect technological advancements and industry trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IRES Training Coordinator to ensure alignment with organizational standards and client requirements.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of practical experience in geophysical surveys, with proven expertise using the SuperSting R8 Terrameter.
- Proficient in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation of resistivity and IP data.
- Strong background in technical training, curriculum development, or workshop facilitation.
- Familiarity with international geophysical and safety standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to tailor content for various audiences, including industry professionals, researchers, and students.
