JOB DETAILS:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented German-English Translator to accurately translate written and/or spoken content from German to English and vice versa. The ideal candidate will possess strong linguistic skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to convey meaning, tone, and context faithfully in both languages. This is a short-term role that will take about 20 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate documents, emails, reports, product descriptions, or other content from German to English and English to German.
• Proofread and edit translations for accuracy, grammar, and cultural relevance.
• Ensure consistency in terminology and tone across all translated materials.
• Conduct basic research to ensure accuracy in specialized or technical terms.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple translation assignments simultaneously.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in both German and English, with excellent writing and grammar skills in both languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Communication, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in translation (2+ years preferred).
• Familiarity with translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
