Job summary
The Glass Waste Collections Supervisor will be responsible for developing and leading the strategy for glass waste collection from various collection points, specifically, bars, hotels, restaurants, malls and from residential households ensuring the materials are handled safely and transported to our recycling facility.

SALARY: KSHS. 40,000 PLUS COMMISSION
JOB LOCATION: MOMBASA
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Development & Execution
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive glass waste collection strategy targeting key sources such as bars, restaurants, hotels, malls, and residential households.
- Identify new collection opportunities and partnerships to expand the collection network and increase recovery rates.
Volume Growth &Target Achievement
- Drive consistent growth in glass waste collection volumes by setting clear targets, monitoring performance, and implementing initiatives to meet or exceed company goals.
- Build relationships with key collection partners to ensure sustained supply.
Field Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a team of field agents responsible for collection activities.
- Set performance targets, conduct regular field visits, and ensure accountability, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with bar owners, restaurant managers, hotel operators, mall management, and residential communities.
- Act as the primary point of contact to ensure smooth coordination and long-term collaboration.
Digital Platform Implementation & Utilization
- Lead the rollout and adoption of a digital collection platform for real-time data capture.
- Train field teams on its use, ensure data accuracy, and leverage the platform to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret field data to track performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights.
Logistics Coordination & Optimization
- Plan and coordinate efficient transportation of collected glass waste from various regions to the main collection center.
- Optimize routes, schedules, and resource utilization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in the collection process and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reduce losses, and streamline operations.
Compliance, Health & Safety
- Ensure all collection, handling, and transportation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture among field teams.
Market Intelligence & Insights
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities within the recycling and waste management space.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in route-to-market operations, distribution, or field logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of regional geography, particularly Mombasa and its surrounding areas.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
