Responsibilities or duties
- Evaluate Internal Controls: Teach students to assess the effectiveness of internal control systems in preventing fraud and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Ensure Public Sector Probity: Instruct on the principles of good governance in public institutions, emphasizing transparency and fairness in public service delivery.
- Manage Risk Governance: Guide students in establishing governance structures to oversee enterprise-wide risk management (ERM).
- Implement Whistleblower Mechanisms: Design a secure and effective reporting system for employees to raise concerns about malpractice without fear of retaliation.
- Conduct Compliance Audits: Train students to perform internal audits to check for adherence to specific laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Align Incentives with Accountability: Teach how to design compensation and reward systems that hold managers accountable for long-term organizational health, not just short-term gains.
