Ol Kalou Dairy (2016) LTD is a leading milk collection dairy in Nyandarua County. The company was incorporated in 2001 with representation from 13 locations around Olkalou.

Responsibilities or duties

The milk grader will be responsible for the daily grading, weighing and recording of farmers' milk.

The milk grader shall act as a communication agent between the farmers and Ol kalou dairy.

The milk grader is expected to take care of all equipment provided by the dairy.

The milk grader shall be in charge of vehicle control during milk collection.

The milk grader will supervise the milk transporters or loaders along the route while grading and collecting milk.

The milk grader and the transporter shall ensure safety of the already collected milk and be responsible for the quantity and quality of the milk delivered to the plant.

The milk grader shall participate in milk mobilization and training farmers on trading high quality milk

The milk grader shall deliver farm inputs requested by farmers.

The milk grader shall portray a good image of the company to farmers and other stake holders.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Diploma or Certificate in Dairy Technology, dairy management or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree will be an added advantage.

Experience needed

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in dairy production, milk grading, or quality control. Familiarity with dairy standards and regulations.
