Background

GrowthAfrica is seeking a Grant Coordinator to oversee the administration, compliance, and disbursement of entrepreneur grants across Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, and Rwanda.

The role will focus on ensuring grants are managed transparently, efficiently, and in line with strong compliance and fiduciary standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct or coordinate beneficiary and supplier due diligence.
  • Strengthen fiduciary controls, compliance, and anti-fraud measures.
  • Maintain accurate grant records and reporting systems.
  • Identify and escalate risks, irregularities, and non-compliance.
  • Support donor reporting, audits, and financial oversight.
  • Develop tools and procedures to improve grant administration.
  • Coordinate the full grant lifecycle, from eligibility screening to final reconciliation.
  • Manage grant disbursements, milestone tracking, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years’ relevant experience in grants management, programme finance, compliance, or fiduciary risk management.
  • Experience in development or donor-funded programmes is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of grant administration, compliance, risk management, and financial controls.
