Job Summary

Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) is seeking a Grants and MEAL Coordinator to support effective grant management and ensure high-quality Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems across its programs. The role will ensure donor compliance, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and support program teams in delivering impactful and accountable projects.

Key Responsibilities

Grants Management

  • Coordinate grant management processes from proposal development to close-out
  • Support preparation, review, and submission of donor proposals and reports
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, budgets, timelines, and contractual obligations
  • Maintain accurate grant documentation, tracking tools, and reporting calendars
  • Liaise with program, finance, and operations teams to ensure effective grant implementation

MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning)

  • Design and implement MEAL frameworks, tools, and indicators aligned with project objectives
  • Collect, analyze, and report quantitative and qualitative program data
  • Ensure timely monitoring of project activities and results against targets
  • Support evaluations, learning reviews, and lessons-learned processes
  • Strengthen accountability mechanisms, including feedback and complaints systems

Reporting & Learning

  • Prepare high-quality donor reports and internal performance reports
  • Support learning initiatives to improve program quality and effectiveness
  • Promote evidence-based decision-making across programs

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management, or a related field
  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in grants management and/or MEAL roles, preferably within NGOs or international organizations
  • Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements
  • Experience designing and managing MEAL systems
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
