Company Description;

The client is a diversified, multi-venture group operating across both regulated and non-regulated sectors with activities spanning financial services, real assets, trade, technology, and consumer-facing platforms.

The Group is in an active transition from founder-led execution to an institutional, scalable operating model, with centralized shared services, strengthened governance, and disciplined performance management across its portfolio.

Its ventures serve mass-market and enterprise customers across multiple geographies, operating in environments where trust, risk perception, and regulatory credibility are critical to customer decision-making.

Role Overview;

A diversified, multi-venture holding group operating across regulated and non-regulated sectors is strengthening its institutional structure and shared services model.

The Group is seeking a Group Marketing Director to drive measurable revenue and portfolio growth across its ventures.

This is not a brand or communications role;

It is a commercial leadership role focused on how customers decide, what builds trust, and how insight converts into scalable growth.

Role Purpose;

The Group Marketing Director is responsible for driving portfolio-level revenue growth by designing and executing marketing strategies grounded in consumer behavior, decision psychology, and trust formation.

The role exists to shape customer decision-making and translate that influence into sustained, measurable commercial outcomes across multiple businesses.

Key Responsibilities;

  1. Group Growth & Marketing Strategy
    • Develop and own the group-level growth and marketing strategy
    • Establish shared growth principles applicable across ventures
    • Define customer segmentation based on behavior, trust, risk perception, and decision triggers
  2. Decision Journey & Conversion Design
    • Design customer journeys aligned with real decision-making behavior
    • Reduce friction across acquisition and conversion funnels
    • Improve conversion rates, repeat usage, and cross-portfolio adoption
  3. Revenue Enablement & Venture Alignment
    • Drive outcomes: leads, conversions, portfolio growth, CPA efficiency
    • Translate complex pricing, eligibility, and risk logic into clear customer messaging
    • Ensure alignment between marketing commitments and operational delivery
  4. Market Intelligence & Feedback Systems
    • Establish group-wide marketing intelligence and analytics
    • Monitor competitor behavior and customer switching logic
    • Create feedback loops between marketing insight and product/process design
  5. Brand & Trust Architecture
    • Build ventures as credible, ethical, and trusted institutions
    • Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
  6. Team & Capability Building
    • Build and lead the group marketing function
    • Define centralized versus venture-embedded capabilities
    • Embed a performance-driven, data-led culture

Key Deliverables & KPIs;

  • Customer acquisition and conversion performance
  • Portfolio growth attributable to marketing
  • Cost-per-acquisition (CPA) and campaign ROI
  • Funnel drop-off reduction
  • Retention and repeat-usage indicators
  • Brand trust and credibility metrics (where applicable)

Candidate Profile;

  • Senior leadership experience in growth, commercial, or performance marketing
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and decision psychology
  • Proven ability to scale revenue through insight-driven execution
  • Experience in financial services, platforms, telecom, or mass-consumer sectors preferred
  • Exposure to emerging markets and cross-cultural environments
  • Highly analytical, commercially accountable, and execution-oriented

What Makes This Role Unique;

  • True group-level mandate, shaping growth across multiple ventures rather than operating as a single-company CMO
  • Direct reporting to the Group President, with visibility and influence at the highest decision-making level
  • Opportunity to architect marketing systems, frameworks, and intelligence—not merely execute campaigns
  • Exposure to diverse customer decision environments, including credit, property, services, and mass consumer segments
  • Greenfield mandate to institutionalize marketing capability and governance at scale across a growing portfolio

Compensation & Structure

  • Competitive executive compensation package, aligned to market and role scope
  • Performance-linked incentives, tied to measurable portfolio growth outcomes
  • Expatriate structures considered, subject to candidate profile, experience, and location
  • Develop and own the group-level growth and marketing strategy
  • Establish shared growth principles applicable across ventures
