A holistic platform delivering financial wellness for individuals, improved performance for companies, and new opportunities for banks and lenders. Power is a platform dedicated to enabling holistic financial services to the online informal economy and the poorly served formal economy.

Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Demand Creation

  • Develop and execute campaigns that generate qualified leads among Power’s target segments, including employers, banks, HR/payroll platforms, insurers, SACCOs, MFIs, and other institutional partners.
  • Build targeted prospect lists by country, sector, company size, decision-maker profile, and strategic fit.
  • Run account-based marketing campaigns for priority employers and partners, using tailored messaging for HR, Finance, Payroll, CEOs/MDs, and institutional decision-makers.
  • Own the top and middle of the commercial funnel, from market awareness and engagement through marketing-qualified lead creation and sales handoff.

Sales Alignment & Pipeline Support

  • Work closely with the CEO, sales, partnerships, country teams, and customer success to support active commercial priorities.
  • Create sales enablement materials that help convert prospects, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, proposal templates, objection-handling materials, implementation explainers, and sector-specific messaging.
  • Participate in pipeline reviews and use sales feedback to improve campaigns, targeting, messaging, and conversion rates.
  • Ensure marketing activity is measured by pipeline contribution, not vanity metrics.

Product Marketing & Positioning

  • Own product marketing for Power’s employer, employee, and institutional partner propositions.
  • Develop clear positioning and messaging for Power’s financial wellness offering, including Pay, Borrow, Save, Protect, employer programs, and platform partnerships.
  • Translate product features into commercial value propositions for different audiences, including HR Directors, CFOs, Payroll Managers, CEOs/MDs, banks, insurers, HR platforms, and employees.
  • Support product launches, employer rollouts, partner activations, and new market entry with practical go-to-market plans, sales materials, and customer communication journeys.
  • Ensure all product claims are accurate, credible, and aligned with actual product readiness.

Employer & User Activation

  • Support activation after an employer or partner is signed by developing onboarding campaigns, employee communication kits, launch materials, FAQs, WhatsApp/SMS/email journeys, and financial education content.
  • Work with product, operations, and customer success teams to improve awareness, trust, activation, repeat usage, and adoption of additional Power products.
  • Use data to identify funnel drop-offs and design campaigns that improve conversion from signed account to active users.

Performance Management

  • Define, track, and report marketing KPIs linked to commercial outcomes.
  • Core metrics include marketing-qualified leads, sales-qualified leads, meetings booked, opportunities created, MQL-to-SQL conversion, pipeline value influenced, campaign ROI, employer activation, and end-user adoption.
  • Manage marketing tools, budgets, vendors, agencies, and internal resources as needed, with a bias toward practical execution and measurable results.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on growth marketer with strong product marketing capability. They should be comfortable being measured on lead generation, pipeline contribution, and conversion support.

They should be able to build campaigns, write strong commercial messaging, work directly with sales, understand buyer pain points, analyze performance data, and improve results over time.

This person should bring commercial discipline, creativity, and execution speed. They should not require a large team or heavy agency support to make progress.
