Core Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Facilitate interviews, prepare appointment letters, and induct new employees.
    • Ensure probationary confirmations are processed timely.
  2. Documentation & Compliance:
    • Maintain complete employee files (physical/digital) and third-party contracts.
    • Ensure adherence to Kenyan labor laws and company policies.
  3. HRIS & Record-Keeping:
    • Manage personnel data on HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  4. Separation Process:
    • Prepare exit documents (clearance forms, final dues) and liaise with payroll.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
  • Certification: Membership with IHRM (Institute of Human Resource Management, Kenya).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in HR, preferably in manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms.
  • Legal Knowledge: Working understanding of Kenyan employment laws (e.g., Employment Act, OSHA).
