Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for attracting, developing and retaining talent, establishing effective HR policies and systems, ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws, and overseeing the smooth running of administrative and facility-related functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures and systems aligned with the organisation’s business objectives.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding and induction across the organisation, ensuring the business attracts and retains the right talent.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes while ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws and company policies.
- Develop and manage performance management systems, including KPIs and employee appraisals, and coordinate staff training and development initiatives.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, including office facilities, utilities, leases, company fleet, travel arrangements and general administrative support.
- Implement and monitor workplace health, safety and employee welfare standards across the organisation.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Higher Diploma in Human Resources or CHRP certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6–8 years’ experience in HR and Administration; experience within agribusiness, logistics, transport, FMCG or a similar operational environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, statutory requirements and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience with HR systems, HRIS and payroll software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills, with high integrity and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
