Core Purpose of the Role

The HR & Compliance Officer acts as the operational backbone of the organization's people function. You will manage the entire employee lifecycle while ensuring strict alignment with Kenyan labor laws, occupational safety standards, and internal corporate policies

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Operations & Lifecycle: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, contract management, performance reviews, and offboarding processes.
  • Statutory Compliance: Manage payroll administrations and timely remittances of statutory deductions (such as PAYE, NSSF, and SHIF).
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries, resolve grievances, and coordinate fair disciplinary actions in line with the Employment Act.
  • Audit & Document Integrity: Mainta24in highly confidential, organized, and complete personnel files to ensure audit readiness.
  • Workplace Welfare: Support local safety compliance, coordinate staff training, and champion employee wellness initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Affiliation: Valid membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). A CHRP-K certification is a highly regarded asset.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of generalist HR experience, with a solid grasp of Kenyan Labour Laws and payroll processes.
  • Key Skills: High level of discretion, strong Google Sheets/Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities.
