About the client:

Our client is a fast-growing organization operating in a dynamic and performance-driven environment. They are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to support and manage end-to-end human resource operations across the employee lifecycle. This role is ideal for a people-focused professional who can balance operational HR delivery with strategic people initiatives, while ensuring full compliance with Kenyan labour laws and best HR practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop accurate job descriptions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Facilitate employee relations matters including conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and exit management.
  • Coordinate and administer the organization’s performance management framework and support managers through reviews and PIPs.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with Kenyan labour laws and internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including NSSF, SHA, PAYE, and Employment Act provisions.
  • Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate employee data, changes, and benefits information.
  • Manage leave administration, attendance records, and benefits communication.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports, dashboards, and analytics for management.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support HR budgeting, planning, and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
  • Professional HR certification (CHRP or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Must be a registered member of IHRM.
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan Labour Laws, Employment Act, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and solutions-oriented mindset.
