JOB VACANCY: HR OFFICER (2 POSITIONS)
Company: SEWECO Products Kenya Ltd
Location: Machakos County, Athi River
Industry: Manufacturing
Position: Human Resource Officer.
Reports To: Human Resource Manager
Job Purpose
The HR Clerks will be responsible for supporting and executing HR functions while providing supervisory oversight on HR operations. The role will ensure proper staff alignment across departments, proactively identify and address workforce gaps, and promote compliance and efficiency within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance to all company internal and external matters.
- Oversee the execution of all approved departmental plans and realization of company objectives.
- Monitor staff performance trends and escalate gaps for action.
- Work closely with departmental heads to align staffing levels, productivity, and discipline.
- Follow up on identified gaps in departments (staffing, performance, compliance) and ensure timely resolution
- Support training coordination, performance management processes, and staff welfare initiatives
- Handle employee relations matters and provide first-level HR advisory support .
- Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Prepare and review HR documents including contracts, disciplinary letters, and internal communications
- Oversee attendance management, leave administration, and absenteeism control.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR role.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labour laws and statutory compliance.
- People management skills is compulsory.
- Membership with Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is preferred
