We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Human Resource Consultancy, for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and career-driven HR & Recruitment Intern.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resource Management and Recruitment while earning a monthly stipend of Ksh. 20,000 plus performance-based recruitment commissions for successful placements.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced HR Consultants, supporting recruitment assignments, HR consulting projects, business development initiatives, and workforce management solutions. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly, enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a target-driven environment, and is eager to build a successful career in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, and internal databases.
  • Screen CVs and shortlist candidates based on job requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary candidate interviews and assessments.
  • Coordinate interview schedules with clients and candidates.
  • Prepare candidate profiles and interview reports.
  • Follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist in onboarding successful candidates.
  • Maintain and update employee and candidate records.
  • Prepare HR documents, letters, reports, and correspondence.
  • Support payroll and HR outsourcing assignments.
  • Assist in leave management and HR compliance activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and client information.
  • Assist in preparing job advertisements and vacancy postings.
  • Support social media recruitment campaigns.
  • Help identify prospective corporate clients.
  • Support employer branding initiatives.
  • Respond professionally to candidate and client inquiries.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews.
  • Provide timely recruitment updates.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and candidates.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports.
  • Support filing and document management.
  • Participate in HR projects and research assignments.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or practical experience in HR, recruitment, customer service, or administration.
  • Good understanding of Human Resource Management principles.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prepare professional reports and documents.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, online job portals, and social media recruitment will be an added advantage.
  • Good internet research skills.
  • Previous experience in a recruitment agency or HR consultancy.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and online job portals.
  • Experience in customer service or client relationship management.
  • Knowledge of Canva or basic graphic design.
  • Experience managing social media professionally.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and email communication.
  • Demonstrated initiative through leadership roles, volunteer work, or personal projects.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
