HUB LEAD- MOMBASA
Department: Supply Chain
Reports to: Warehouse and Inventory Manager
Danco continues to expand its reach and presence within the Kenyan market with retail shops and hardware stores. We are looking for an individual to run and manage the hub operations and processes and help increase the regional sales, working hand in hand with the Sales Executive and the Warehouse and Inventory Manager.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for overall customer experience at the hub & ensuring excellent customer service.
2. Responsible for administrative roles at the Hub including licenses and permits, utilities, security, health and safety and housekeeping.
3. Responsible for Hub’s staff including leading, training & development in line with company values.
4. Responsible for ensuring laid down procedures and processes are strictly adhered to & reporting any deviations.
5. Responsible for daily stock, cash & banking reconciliations, liaising with our Finance Team.
6. Responsible for ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained at the Hub at all times & requisitioning replenishments.
7. Responsible for inventory control functions at the Hub including cycle counts and periodic stock takes in line with company policy.
8. Managing the stocking requirements, aligning with HQ Team for transport needs, stock transfers, keep correct stocks while escalating any understocking or overstocking cases.
9. Responsible for customer order processing, attending walk ins and ensuring timely processing and delivery of customer orders.
10. Ensuring accurate verification of incoming and outgoing goods.
11. Responsible for coordination between sales and operations of the Hub including credit customer order approval & processing.
12. A strategic mindset to check optimization logistics opportunities like consolidation, return cargo and route planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
1) Diploma or bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.
2) At least 2-3 years of progressive work experience as a Warehouse or Retain Supervisor/Officer in a busy trading, construction or manufacturing company.
Required Skills & Competencies:
1) Warehouse and stock management skills.
2) Excellent Admin, Supervisory and coaching skills.
3) Excellent Computer skills with an ability to prepare reports on excel and presentations.
4) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-both verbal and written to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
5) Emotional intelligence - ability to use emotions positively and navigate social complexities.
6) Analytical Skills - ability to analyse data, troubleshoot problems related to stocking issues processes.
7) Attention to detail - accuracy paperwork, compliance requirements, and ensuring all necessary details are captured.
8) Experience of working with ERP systems, receiving shipments and processing stock transfers is an added advantage.
9) Highly trusted and of reputable character.
10) Acts in line with Company core values and demonstrates our leadership principles.s
