Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to lead the development and management of Stanbic Bancassurance Intermediary Limited. It entails driving business growth by expanding the customer base and generating income across multiple business lines. This includes ensuring effective account relationship management to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and wallet share through the sale of diverse financial solutions offered by the subsidiary. It also covers design, implementation, and overseeing the sales strategy, operating model, and pipeline for the banking segments aligned with defined insurance products, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements to achieve set revenue targets while delivering an exceptional client experience throughout the insurance value chain. The role holder will provide strategic leadership for Bancassurance Business Development and Operations, with a strong focus on unlocking both captive and non-captive growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: Degree
Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance or any other related field
Professional Certifications: 

  • Fellow/Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (FCII/ACII) Or
  • Fellow/Associate of Insurance Institute of Kenya (FIIK/AIIK) Or
  • Professional qualification from any other institution recognized by the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK)

Experience Required
Insurance
More than 10 years

  • Experience in the Insurance Industry or related fields, of which at least 5 years should at a Senior Managerial capacity, having been accountable for the Sales and Distribution financial and budgetary requirements.
  • Setting and overseeing the strategy and Sales target generation.

To provide support to the Banker, Relationship, Enterprise Direct by servicing customers, attending to customer queries, providing credit administration support and identifying customer needs.  Monitor daily excesses and arrears to ensure that client facilities are managed within the parameters set by Credit and make recommendations to Credit for temporary facilities, where necessary. Ensure timeous disbursement of all new credit facilities for secured lending and review approvals received from credit, captures and release limits. Ensure fulfillment of all Credit sanctions and approvals.
