Role Objective
The Head of Business Development will design and execute growth strategies to maximize total revenue and market share for our client’s hotel property. You will be responsible for unlocking new business segments, securing lucrative corporate contracts, and cultivating long-term relationships with key players.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement long-term business development strategies targeting high-value corporate travel, MICE, and group bookings.
- Monitor hospitality trends, competitor pricing, and market demand to identify and capture untapped customer segments.
- Partner with Revenue Management and Marketing to align promotional campaigns, pricing, and business development goals with market demand.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of corporate clients and event planners, managing the sales cycle from initial outreach to contract finalization.
- Proactively source, negotiate, and close large-scale group bookings, including conferences, trade shows, weddings, and executive retreats.
- Establish commercial terms and manage high-level relationships with premium partners, including tour operators, wholesalers, transport providers, and event organizers.
- Manage, mentor, and set quarterly sales targets for the commercial team (Business Development, Account Executives, Marketing, Social Media, and Event Coordinators).
- Oversee the utilization of Property Management tools to maintain data integrity, pipeline clarity, and accurate account histories.
- Prepare and present monthly commercial pipeline updates, partnership ROI analyses, and revenue forecasts directly to the General Manager and ownership groups.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or high-end sales within the hospitality or MICE sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
