Responsibilities
- Support in the development, review, and communication of the boarding schedule, rules, and requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ensuring all boarding staff understand and consistently implement the established boarding routines and expectations.
- Coordinate the implementation of the boarding calendar and related events in collaboration with other departments, ensuring activities run within set timelines.
- Oversee and support staff in maintaining pupil discipline and adherence to the daily boarding and school schedules.
- Manage time-related routines such as wake-up, lights-out, and bedtime, based on school guidelines and age-appropriate practices.
- Supervise personal grooming, ensuring all boarders are clean, well-dressed, and ready for daily school, church, or co-curricular engagements.
- Monitor and maintain high cleanliness standards within the dormitories, including bed arrangement and regular airing of bedding.
- Identify children with specific needs such as bed-wetting, and help develop a discreet and supportive management plan with relevant staff.
- Keep accurate records of boarding attendance and follow up on any absenteeism, working closely with the admissions office, head teacher, and accounts office.
- Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure all boarders receive appropriate meals, especially those with special dietary needs, in line with school policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Teaching.
- TSC Registration.
- Counselling Qualification.
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Valid certificate of good conduct.
